7 Vacation Homes to Rent Near National Parks

Welcome to the extended version of my weekly newsletter, House Call (and if you haven’t subscribed, what are you waiting for?) This is where I spend some time pondering a theme, answering a question, and helping you shop smarter—or at least find some new inspiration. Reach out if you ever need recommendations. I’m happy to search the internet for the most specific furnishings, decor, and knickknacks.

While I don’t always pay attention to all the randomly proclaimed days and weeks we have—I’m looking at you “International Talk Like a Pirate Day” and “National Crouton Day”—I am excited about National Park Week. Celebrated from April 16 to 24, the holiday starts off with entrance fees waived and continues with special programs, events, and digital experiences. What better way to get into the Earth Month spirit than to hike or camp in one of these majestic spots across the country?

Even if you don’t have time to get over to Joshua Tree or Yellowstone this week, why not book a stay near one of these gems in the near future? There are so many beautiful homes you can rent near some of the most-loved parks. I’ve got my eye on a trip up the Maine coast to Acadia National Park. Here are some great finds.
