This unincorporated town has a post office and governed by Douglas County. The Sedalia post office has been in operation since 1872. The community was named after Sedalia, Missouri.
Blink and you might miss Sedalia’s main street. Where the past meets the present, downtown Sedalia offers a few local restaurants, antique shops, and the historic Sedalia Museum. For a quick burger head to Bud’s Cafe and Bar and for a more classic sit-down meal check out Gabriel’s Restaurant and Tuscan Bar.While the town itself does not offer much in terms of outdoor recreation activities, it serves as the gateway to many surrounding outdoor adventures. Enjoy hiking and biking in the Pike National Forest or fly fishing in Platte River.
